Track Positions

The following positions are available for the 2018 Track Season.  Please contact Amber Rogan with questions.

Track Co-Director

This position will be a 2 year commitment.  You will work with the current director, Amber Rogan, this spring and then name a replacement to work with you for the 2019 season.  

Responsible for all aspects of the CYC Track program.  This position receives all sports free for all their children, and is exempt from work duty requirements.

  • Attends CYC track meetings
  • Promotes registration, sets practice schedule, recruits coaches, signs up for meets, works with coaches to set rosters for meets
  • Must be available for the 2 CYC meets in May

Soccer Positions

The following positions are available for the 2018 Soccer Season. Please contact Mark Kirsch with questions.  

2018 Soccer Tournament Committee (several positions)

Our two tournament coordinators are retiring.  We are looking for two people to work together to run all aspects of the Ascension Soccer Tournament.  The tournament usually takes place over 2 weekends in August and has included grades K-8.  The Communications Director will be responsible for all communication with coaches, as well as working with the City of Chesterfield/CVAC. Scheduling Director will be responsible for collecting all registrations, and submitting team divisions, schedule conflicts, etc. to 3rd party vendor to run the schedule. We are open to any changes.  This position receives free soccer for all their children, and is exempt from work duty requirements.

Boys & Girls Golf     (Grades 1-8)  

Registration:              January - early-February
Regular Season:        April - early June
Postseason:              mid-June  (players/teams in grades 5-8 that qualify)
Players must either live in the parish boundaries, attend Ascension school or PSR, or be registered parishioners.

Boys & Girls Track & Field     (Grades K-8) 

Registration:              February - mid-March
Regular Season:        mid-March - mid-May
Players must either live in the parish boundaries, attend Ascension school or PSR, or be registered parishioners. 

 

Boys & Girls Soccer   (PreK - High School)    

Registration:              mid-May - mid-June
Regular Season:        September - mid-November
Postseason:               Teams that qualify in grades 5-8 
Players must either live in the parish boundaries, attend Ascension school or PSR, or be registered parishioners.
 

Boys & Girls Volleyball    (Grades 3-8)    

Registration:                May - June
Regular Season:         August - mid-November
Postseason:                Teams that qualify in grades 5-8
Players must either live in the parish boundaries, attend Ascension school or PSR, or are registered parishioners.  
 

Boys & Girls Basketball     (K - 8th)  

Registration:                           August 15th - October 15th
Training League Season:        November - end January      
CYC Season:                          mid-November - mid-March                
Players must either live in the parish boundaries, attend Ascension school or PSR, or be registered parishioners. 

Adult Volleyball  

6-7 Matches played in a recreational format (no referees).  Registration starts in the fall.  Season starts the 2nd week in January.  Fee includes beer from the keg, wine, and soda. Registration by team.
 
 

Baseball & Softball

Ascension does not offer baseball or softball, but CYC does have baseball and softball programs.  You may be able to join a neighboring parish.   CYC Baseball      CYC Softball
